Blow Hard
(indoor game)

Players: 4 or more
Materials: Chairs and straws for each player, a small downy feather

Players arrange their chairs in a circle and sit close together facing the inside of the circle. One player stands and tosses the feather in the air above the center of the circle. Then each player, without standing, blows through the straw to keep the feather from floating down. If the feather touches a player, that player leaves the game and the circle of chairs grows smaller. The feather is tossed in the air again, and the game continues as before.

Players must never leave their chairs while blowing the feather, but any player may choose not to use the straw if she chooses. This is usually a good idea if the feather comes very close to someone’s face. Besides protecting herself from the falling feather, a player can also try to blow her feather toward another player to take him out.

If the feather falls to the floor without touching anyone, the original feather-tosser starts the game over. The winner of the game is the sole remaining player.
